Why process the year end?

The year end facility within Clever Accounts helps to close off figures that you have previously entered.  It maybe you/we have already agreed and submitted the figures to Companies House and HMRC and do not wish to amend any figure in that year. Your accountant will normally do this for you, when the year end has passed and the accounts have been prepared. 

The process is straight forward and the software will inform you of the last year end that has been processed and the next one due.  If you wish to process the next year end, click on Run Year End.

Running a year will prevent you from adding, editing or deleting transactions within, or before the year end you have processed.  Any amendments that need to take place - if you have run the process too early - will have to be dealt with by your accountant.
