A Government Gateway lets you use many national and local online government services (including tax and national insurance) safely and securely.
It is recommended that you sign up for an individual account for you personally, and an organisation account, for your business.
To sign up you will need to provide your:
- name
- date of birth
- National Insurance number
- email address
Once provided you will need to set up a password before being provided with a User ID.
Please make a note of the User ID when you receive and keep in a safe place.

Agent Access
We hold a separate 'Agent' Government Gateway ID which we will apply to add your limited company to. This involves HMRC issuing a code in the post that needs to be provided within 30 days of the date of issue.
